Jordana Paige is best known for her stylish, yet functional knitting bags. Her love of  knitting and beautiful design has inspired her to create knitting patterns for the fashion-forward knitter. Her designs have been published in Vogue Knitting, Knit Simple and Knitty.com as well as several books. Her knitwear patterns are also published independently under the Jordana Paige label. Knit Camp Exclusive!

Project Class:  Seamless Top Down Raglan

Students will knit a top down seamless raglan designed specifically for Knit Camp. The garment will include charted lace or cables (to be determined). Students will learn about the benefits of top down knitting, how to select the proper size, adjust the pattern for proper fit and the skills needed to complete the garment successfully. A copy of the pattern is included.

When: Tuesday, 9.30 - 5.00

Level: Intermediate plus

Class Skills: Confident knitters who have knit at least two sweaters/cardigans

Cost: £80

Class Length: 6 hours

Homework: None

Bring with you:

5mm (US 8) circular needle, at least 60 cm in length

100 - 200 grams (4 - 8 oz) of aran/worsted weight yarn

Stitch markers (one of them being a different colour from others)

How to Design a Top Down Raglan

Students will learn about garment construction, ease and  how to calculate measurements. Students will design their own top down baby or child  sweater.

When: Wednesday, 9.30 - 12.30

Level: Intermediate

Class Skills: Comfortable with knitting in the round (previous double knitting experience not necessary)

Students will learn how to use a cable needle, make cables without a cable needle, correct cabling mistakes and read charts. Students will make a small cabled project (pattern supplied)
