Jewelry and knitwear designer Rosemary (Romi) Hill is the owner of Designs by Romi, selling handmade shawl pins and sweater closures. In 2006, she began designing knit jewelry and lace. Her patterns have appeared in Knitty, Twist Collective, Interweave Knits, and Living Crafts. Interweave Press published her book: "Elements of Style: Knit + Crochet Jewelry with Wire, Fiber Felt + Beads" in December, 2008. Classes with Romi will take place in the Cottrell Building
Intro to knitted and crocheted jewelrystudents will be introduced to techniques from my book, "Elements of Style: Knit + Crochet Jewelry with Wire, Fiber, Felt + Beads," as well as being able to see projects in person. Basic wire working skills for knitters Never worked with wire before? That shouldn't stop you from knitting with it!
