Sasha Kagan

Internationally known textile artist Sasha Kagan has built a multi faceted knitwear design business from her isolated home in mid-Wales.  She studied Fine Art and Printmaking at Exeter College of Art and gained her MA in printmaking at the Royal College of Art.  This led her to a fascination with William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement.  On moving to Wales hand knitting and crochet became her main medium of expression to create the wonderful nature inspired designs which have become her trade-mark.  Sasha has published six books as well as contributing to many books and magazines over the years.  Her most recent books “Crochet Inspiration”  and “Knitwear”  continue her exploration of hand crafted textiles using both knit and crochet.  Her mission is to inspire the handcrafter to be creative and to enjoy the process of making textiles by hand.
