Stefanie Japel

Stefanie learned to knit from her grandma when she was 8 years old. She has grown up wearing her sweaters and borrowing the ones she made for other people. Most of these sweaters are raglans, knit in the round from the top. She is the author of the books Fitted Knits and Glam Knits, and her work has appeared in a number of books and publications including Big Girl Knits, Stitch N Bitch Nation, KnitGrrl, Knit Wit, Not Another Teen Knitting Book, Interweave Knits, Knitscene, Knit.1, and Vogue Knitting Magazine. She has  designed patterns for Stitch Diva Studios, the yarn companies Southwest Trading Company, JCA Reynolds, Artful Yarns, Tilli Tomas, and for Mission Falls.  Stefanie teaches knitting classes (including a Fitted Raglan Shawl class and a Design Your Own Shawl class) online.
